At Active Learning Centers, we believe in nurturing the whole child. This means going beyond traditional academics to provide experiences that build character, confidence, and physical well-being. That’s why we’ve integrated a dynamic martial arts curriculum into our programs through our valued partnership with Lehigh Valley Martial Arts (LVMA). This collaboration offers children a unique opportunity to grow in a fun, safe, and structured environment, right here at our centers.
The decision to enroll your child in an activity is significant. You want something that not only keeps them active but also instills valuable life skills. Our martial arts program is designed to do just that. It's more than just learning punches and kicks; it’s about developing self-discipline, respect for others, and an unshakeable sense of self-confidence that will benefit them for a lifetime.
A Partnership for Building Strong Character
Our curriculum, developed with Lehigh Valley Martial Arts, is rooted in the belief that the lessons learned in the dojo extend into every aspect of a child's life. We focus on teaching ten core character values that are essential for development. Students learn to channel their energy productively, manage their emotions, and approach challenges with a positive mindset.
The classes are fun, friendly, and safe, creating an atmosphere where children feel comfortable stepping out of their comfort zones. They learn the 4 Laws of Concentration, which helps them improve their focus and meet their responsibilities at school and at home. This isn't just an after-school activity; it’s a character-building experience that gives your child an edge.
This program is available across our Lehigh Valley locations, including Emmaus, Bethlehem Township, Palmer, Trexlertown, and Fogelsville, making it a convenient option for families in the community.
Little Ninjas: Big Development for Ages 3-5
For our youngest learners, we offer the Little Ninjas program, specially designed for children aged three to five. This curriculum focuses on improving basic motor functions and listening skills through interactive games and playful drills. It’s the perfect introduction to martial arts, teaching preschoolers how to become better listeners, more confident individuals, and more focused students.
Many parents wonder how a group activity will suit their young child. To ease this transition, each Little Ninja begins with a private lesson with an instructor. This one-on-one time helps reduce any anxiety, allows the child to practice fun new skills, and provides positive feedback before they join the group class. It’s a gentle and effective way to introduce them to a new and exciting world.
