Toddlers
What makes ALC’s toddler care unique?
We have an active approach to learning!
We spend more time outdoors than any other child care facility around! Our staff is very hands-on and involved with the children. We have small class sizes and comfy rooms that feel like a second home!
Active Learning Centers’ toddler program has an emphasis on the concept that a healthy, active approach to life should start at an early age. Our toddler program introduces the children to a bright beginning of the development of educational, social, emotional, and physically healthy lives. ALC’s curriculum is based on the PA state learning standards for early childhood education and as such, guides our teachers in providing children with a positive educational experience. The curriculum is carried out using different themes to ensure that the needs and interests of all the children are being met.
Come and see our one and two year olds’ practice Martial Arts – they are too cute! These classes are provided by the instructors at Lehigh Valley Martial Arts and are geared to specific learning styles of children 2-3 years of age. The classes focus on coordination and balance and begin to give the children the social skills needed to stand in line and wait their turn. The toddler martial arts program is at no additional charge to the regular child care fee.
A testimonial from a parent of a two-year old:
“It’s not just the toddler teachers that know my child’s name, but all of the teachers and all the older children too! It makes me feel like family that all of the ALC staff and children there know me and my child very well.”
