Before & after school child care

Parents are able to drop their children off before school and they will have a safe place to prepare for the day ahead. Parents experiencing a time crunch are welcome to bring breakfast with them and our capable staff will make sure the kids are fed before they leave for school. Transportation is provided to and from school. In the event of snow days or early school closings we will remain open.

After school, the children will have snack time and then be given the time and help needed to complete their homework. Once school work is out of the way, the children will have the opportunity for individual and group play.

We are committed to providing child care programs that encourage mental, physical, and emotional well-being. ALC emphasizes a well-rounded program that takes shape week by week based on the children’s interests. Written lesson plans are provided weekly by your child’s teacher and can always be viewed in the classroom. We provide for literacy, arts, health, and fitness on a daily basis. Math and science activities are planned a minimum of three times a week and technology and social competence activities are planned at least twice a week. It is our goal to provide a balanced and well rounded experience for your child.

A unique benefit at Active Learning Center is our martial arts training program. All children enrolled in our before & after school child care are encouraged to participate in the martial arts classes at no additional cost. These classes are provided by the instructors from Lehigh Valley Martial Arts, a highly respected school focused on giving the children the tools they need to succeed. The instructors believe that attention span, self-discipline, and self-confidence are the keys to anyone’s success. Additional family members such as siblings, parents, and grandparents may take the classes at a discounted rate.
